Aug. 14th, 2011 07:18 pmWow, the summer is nearly over (well it's not like it was here in the first place, damn rain). I need to start revising my latin and history.
Some sketches, doodles and speedpaintings:
Speedpainted portrait of a vampire character
Wiccan and Speed sketch
Quorra from Tron: Legacy
Wonder Woman
River Song, Donna Noble, Martha Jones doodles
Jack Harkness, Rory Williams, Canton Delaware III doodles
Callum Keith Rennie as Lucifer, Some random clouds
Meme (stolen from several people):
The one who seduced you and screwed you over and broke your heart in a million pieces and laughed about it.
Merlin. I still like it, I still like the fandom...but the show keeps on breaking my heart. I just want Merlin to be happy and Arthur to know about Merlin and all the things he keeps on sacrificing and respect him and not treat him like a dirt on his shoes. Arthur always seems to do one step forward and not two but ten steps back. Well...at least they introduced Gwaine. I like Gwaine.
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp in the sheets.
Star Trek: I like it still and I'll probably get excited about it again when the next movie comes out, but while I love it I don't think about it as much as I do about SGA or BSG or Star Wars
The mysterious dark gothy one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3a.m. at weird coffeehouses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized she really was fucking crazy.
Supernatural I guess. I'm not setting a foot in the fandom again.
The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor, and whom you'd still really like to get with again although you're relieved she doesn't actually live in town.
Battlestar Galactica: I love the show. I can watch it over and over again. But I don't really feel like participating in fandom...because it's all Kara/Lee now. I like the pairing enough and I even enjoy drawing them but where is the challenging and dark fic that left me depressed for days? I like you guys, but give me some creepy!Leoben and desperate Sam and Admiral Adama and awesome Helo. :(
The steady.
Star Wars. TAA TAA TAA TAA TAAAA TA DAA TAAAA TA DAA. Bwahaha. It's probably my most steady fandom. I've loved it ever since I was a kid. I loved Star Trek and Stargate: SG-1 too, but I didn't need any fandom for Star Wars like I do for Star Trek and Stargate. In fact, I wasn't part of the fandom until very very recently. It's just so awesome. I love the universe, I love the original stories, I love the game, I love the movies (with the exception of one).
The alluring stranger whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with.
Flashpoint. Enjoyable show with interesting characters. I'm not invested in it, though I have my favorites there. I guess it's the character of Ed who keeps me from enjo
The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with but ultimately you're just good buddies 'cause the friendship is there but the chemistry ain't.
BBC's Sherlock. I enjoy the show, I like the fanfiction well enough...but not enough to be bothered. I'm looking forward to more, but not enough to go into frenzy about news.
The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool chick except it's never really gone anywhere.
Sanctuary: I want to like it. It has Amanda Tapping. It has Kavan Smith and David Hewlett in webisodes. WHY CAN'T I ENJOY IT? I don't know. I want to like it.
The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at her and thinking, "her? how the hell did she land all these cool guys?"
There's a lot of those...but Let's go with Hetalia. Seriously? How can you guys read/watch that crap? It's not funny. Where's the wit? Where's the satire? And it doesn't help that the fandom is crazy as it is. I'm sorry but Hetalia fandom is the worst one I know.
The one who gave you the best damned summer of your life and who you measure all other potential partners against.
The Stargates (without Universe): I always come back to it. No matter what I'm watching or what I'm reading I always migrate back to it. The fandom (with its awesome fanfiction and awesome people and awesome meta) spoiled me for any other fandom. This is what fandom looks like guys.
The one you recently met at a party and would like to get to know better and who you think you might have a crush on.
The Alphas. I like it! It's still new though so I'm not sure where will it go.
The old flame that you wouldn't totally object to hooking up with again for a one night romp if only he cleaned himself up a bit.
Torchwood. I'm sort of enjoying the new series but not enough to watch every episode. It's not interesting to me...There's too many shows like that out there, we don't need another. Except we apparently do. Boring. Well kudos for mentioning Ianto :(
Your hot new flame.
The Eagle is probably the newest. Well who would be able to resist. Hot Channing Tatum as a roman soldier. Even hotter Jamie Bell as angry slave (and wow when did Billy Elliot grow up!). I enjoyed the story and I like the movie and the fandom isn't half bad either. It's nice to be in a smaller fandom
The one who stole your boyfriend.
X-Men First Class: As a long time fan of all things X-men I am partly excited it brought in so many new fans...but then I see all those chibi doe-eyed Xaviers and Macho!Eriks and the bashing of Mystique and Emma and all those excuses for the racism and I'm disgusted again. I have dislike/hate relationship with XMFC just like Hetalia.
